Días productivos trabajando desde casa

agosto 17, 2025 ·

The best productivity advice for parents assumes a quiet house. Reality is louder. These rules survive contact with real family life.

Separate the calendar, not just the room

Block your deep work into visible time slots and tell everyone in the household, including children, what those blocks mean. A shared calendar makes the boundary visible and respected.

Design a ‘start’ ritual

Children adapt to routines faster than to lectures. A consistent start signal — a song, a special snack, a timer — tells everyone work mode has begun. Use the same signal every day.

Batch the interruptions

Instead of trying to eliminate interruptions, batch them. Schedule a mid-morning and mid-afternoon slot for questions and requests. Knowing a slot is coming makes waiting easier for everyone.

Perfection is not the goal. A rhythm that mostly works, most days, is a win.
